CHLOTRUDIS SOCIETY FOR INDEPENDENT FILM at the BOSTON JEWISH FILM FESTIVAL: THE LAST REPORT ON ANNA

The Last Report on AnnaThe Chlotrudis Society for Independent Film (CSIF) is pleased to be part of the 23rd annual Boston Jewish Film Festival, one of New England’s longest-lived and most acclaimed film festivals. Chlotrudis will be a Community Partner for the screening of THE LAST REPORT ON ANNA on Thursday November 10th, at 7:45 pm in the Remis Auditorium of the Musuem of Fine Arts in Boston.

Distinguished director Márta Mészáros’ film reflects political repression, love, exile and memory. Hungarian Social Democratic Anna Kethly, a progressive in Imre Nagy’s government and an outspoken critic of Jewish racial laws, inspires it. After the1956 Soviet invasion, Anna moved to Belgium. In this drama set in the 1970s, a young Hungarian literary critic is sent by the State Security Police to exploit Anna’s homesickness.
