A. Confidential - This
complex, film was based on the novel by James Ellroy.
It takes a look at the Los Angeles police department
in the 1950's. Corruption and glitz with a Hollywood
backdrop provide the framework for an intense study
of two young men. Officers Bud White and Ed Exley
couldn't be more different on the surface, but events
link them together to solve a dangerous mystery.
Australian actors Russell Crowe and Guy Pearce are
terrific, as is Kevin Spacey and a host of impressive
supporting actors.

James Ellroy novel. Helgeland and director, Hanson maintain

delving into motivations of a myriad of characters. The
